Sabar Drumming Workshops with Modou Diouf
We are delighted to announce Modou Diouf’s 2017 tour of UK. Modou is a master Sabar drummer griot, performer and teacher from Senegal – a charming and patient teacher able to teach people of all levels.
Modou will be carrying out a series of drumming workshops and performances throughout the summer of 2017. Details, dates and venues can be found at the link below!

The annual of Kartong Festival is a celebration of international music, culture, local traditions and lifestyles that hosts the very best of music and dance from West Africa as well as visiting artists from around the world.
Featuring “Spearman” a world premiere of a digital arts project by Tony Spencer and Kye Wilson on Saturday 11th performed with Kouma Kan Africa support by Furry Fruit Visual arts, funded by Arts Council England, Halahin Lodge Kartong, Gambia Tourism Board and African Linx.
The whole village of Kartong and the Festival Organizing Committee invite you to share the beauty and hospitality for which the area is renowned and to have an exhilarating festival experience you will never forget!
